Shimon Ifrach
Computer Science Student @ HUJI | Seeking Software Engineering or MLOps Student Positions
About Me
I am a Computer Science student at The Hebrew University (class of 2027) with a builder’s mindset. I specialize in architecting E2E systems and managing ML inference pipelines.
Currently seeking a student position in Software Engineering or MLOps, I combine strong theoretical foundations in Algorithms and Deep Learning with practical experience in Docker, ASP.NET, and PyTorch.
Featured Projects
ZCode (Hack The Gap 2026)
An immersive educational platform built in 24 hours. Architected a Monorepo backend using Elysia.js and Drizzle ORM over Neon PostgreSQL. Integrated a Socratic AI mentor via OpenRouter. Fully containerized and deployed with automated CI/CD to Google Cloud Run.
MoodCast
A production-grade movie recommendation platform. Developed an Inference Pipeline integrating Gemini API for NLP mood analysis with TMDB API. Managed via IIS and Neon PostgreSQL with custom assembly bindings.
Snake App - Full Stack Dockerized
A complete 3-tier distributed system. Features a vanilla JS frontend and a Node.js Express backend, fully containerized using Docker for environment parity. Implements a global leaderboard integrated with Neon PostgreSQL cloud database.
GPT-2 Transformer
Architected a character-level generative model from scratch using PyTorch and NumPy. Implemented Causal Self-Attention and optimized inference logic to achieve computational efficiency.
